Through the lens of our own experience, we aim to create a community of modern women who celebrate and redefine motherhood. We start our next episode of TITT TALKS with a message from the co-founders of Fertility Rally. They are hosting a virtual celebration for the infertility community for anyone and everyone building modern families and seeking empowerment, education support and community. More details available on their IG @fertilityrally.
Welcome back to our second episode of Legacy Stories brought to you by TITT Talks! This series is a tribute to our heritage through storytelling. Stories preserve culture and pass on family history and tradition from one generation to another. In essence, stories keep cultures alive. In them, we learn much about ourselves and those that came before us. These stories deserve a platform to be showcased. If we don’t do it, who will? In this series, we’ll be paying respect and honoring our families. Join us and learn part of our history as we each share individual legacy stories of our own families.
Today, TCha is your host and she will be paying honor and tribute to her father, Luis Alberto Chavez Tay. A person we each admire for his entrepreneurial spirit, resilience, good humor and example of a great father and grandfather.

TITT Talks is a proudly #aapi family. We are deeply concerned for the safety of our aapi sisters and brothers, our own families, and our personal friends. We cannot put into words all that we are feeling, as we go from sadness to anger to confusion to fear.
Please check-in with your #aapi friends. We are not all okay. Please take care of yourselves and know that you can talk to us. If you need support, a helpful resource is stopasianhate.info. We stand with our Asian American Pacific Islander community in the face of racism, and we are committed to taking action against it.

ABOUT TITT TALKS
TITT Talks was “conceived” in January of 2020 during one of TITT’s many friend/family (“framily”) get-togethers. In conversation, it came to light that there was a lack of representation of women like TITT in, among other forms of media, the podcast world. In particular, there was no podcast that TITT could subscribe to that would enable them to feel seen, heard, or understood as modern Asian Pacific American working mothers.
The women of TITT Talks knew that this void was one they could fill by sharing their voices and experiences through their casual conversations, which were already taking place on a routine basis.
Thank you for the positive feedback we have received since our launch in early June 2020. We are delighted to hear that we are bringing you content that you can finally relate to as mothers, professionals, millennials, and Asian Pacific Americans.

How SHE Built This: Lisa Tran of Tan Tan Foods
Thursday Mar 25, 2021
Thursday Mar 25, 2021
For this How She Built This episode, it is our honor to present to you . . . Lisa Tran! First, for us, our recent friendship with Lisa is the embodiment of the benefits of networking. TLo met Lisa on Clubhouse, and TLo subsequently introduced us all to Lisa. We have become enamored with not only Lisa, but we have also become enamored with her story, her family, and her family’s story. In this episode of HSBT, Lisa regales Chuk with her journey of turning vision into action by developing Tan Tan Foods sauce line, which she did with the goal of being able to generate consistent income while also being able to spend substantial mommy time with her precious twins. Lisa also discusses how Tan Tan’s sauces were created with her mother’s recipes and gained popularity amongst the customers of her family’s restaurant – Tan Tan Café & Delicatessen! More importantly, Lisa shares her own story of being born as a Vietnamese refugee in Indonesia, how her mother refined her sauce-making skills in the same refugee camp, and her parents’ love story that was borne during their escape from Vietnam – all of which laid the foundation for Lisa to create Tan Tan’s sauce empire and to introduce the wonder of her mom’s Vietnamese recipes to the American general public. (Tan Tan’s sauces are carried in major grocery store chains like New Seasons Markets, H Mart, and coming soon to Safeway/Albertsons – she is kind of a big deal.) We could go on and on, but you should really just listen to the episode! We cannot wait for you to learn more about Lisa! Find her at @tantanfoods and tantancafedeli.com. You can also learn more about her in her features in @entrepreneur and @bonappetit magazines!

How SHE Built This: Bitty Bao
Wednesday Feb 24, 2021
Wednesday Feb 24, 2021
Welcome BACK to the TITT Talks: How She Built This series! Season 3 pops off featuring the co-founders of Bitty Bao! This spin-off series is meant to intimately discuss the journey of building a business as a female entrepreneur in a 20-ish minute segment. These types of conversations inspire us here at TITT Talks, and we hope they do the same for you as well.
This week, we bring to you two hard-working, hustling moms – LuLu and Lacey, the creators of Bitty Bao (https://www.bittybao.com)! Bitty Bao is a collection of Chinese Bilingual Board books that are a wonderful resource to opening your children’s eyes to the diversity in this world. Their story, in their words:
“A random 11pm text from Lulu lit up Lacey’s phone one December evening. It read, “So crazy thought, I want to write children’s bilingual Chinese books. Starting to form ideas and such, a series - like the Spanish series you follow. @lillibros - they’re inspiring! What are your thoughts on this? Too crazy? Totally feasible? Want to be my illustrator? Let’s do crazy together!”
Who sends an 11pm text asking someone out of the blue to make a book series with them? But more importantly, who says yes to such an endeavor under those circumstances? Lulu and Lacey do.
And so began our journey. We look forward to showing you highlights of our labor-of-love book making process, road to publishing, and all the fun we have along the way. (Mostly in the middle of the night after all our bitty babes are in bed and our houses are finally quiet!) We are so proud to announce our book series (in its infancy), #BittyBao - bitty books for bitty babes!
Join us as TLo takes you behinds the scenes as LuLu and Lacey tell their story about how they built their business (the ups and the downs) and how they are continuing to evolve and grow, all while being Mamas.
It has always been our mission to connect with other modern womxn through the lens of our experience. We hope you enjoy this new series as much as we do!

Today, TLo is your host and she will be paying honor and tribute to her PoPo (maternal Grandmother) who passed on New Year’s Day (2021). Rest in paradise, PoPo.

Taking Sexy Back, Owning Your Sexuality from the AAPI Perspective
Wednesday Jan 27, 2021
Wednesday Jan 27, 2021
In today’s society, every single action that a womxn takes, can and will be sexualized. So why shouldn’t we take control of our sexuality? As womxn and moms with Asian American and Pacific Islander backgrounds, we are kicking off Season 3 by breaking the cultural taboo around sex and Taking Our Sexy Back! We hope to empower you and ourselves to own your sexuality.
To help us along this journey we have brought on Dee Reed of @pompousreed, she is the ultimate boss lady and amazing mom who runs two businesses in beauty and in retail and still finds time to co-host her own podcast, TheBakedZeeDee Show.
Take a seat and sip your tea, as the TITTS and Dee drop some gems and play a little question roulette at the end.

Mental Health
Wednesday Dec 02, 2020
Wednesday Dec 02, 2020
Welcome back to another episode of TITT Talks! Today we are bringing you a round table discussion on Mental Health with special guest, Dr. Jang Cho. Join us for a raw, unfiltered discussion that touches on all facets of being a woman and a mother in this very heavy year that we’ve lived through. We at TITT Talks feel strongly that we would be doing a disservice to our community and women at large by not utilizing our platform to help break down some of the barriers around this highly stigmatized subject.
Dr. Jang Cho is a board certified child and adolescent psychiatrist. She received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed her psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital in New York City and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. Dr. Cho is passionate about treatment, education and advocacy for mental health of Asian Americans and has given talks in various seminars and conferences, both locally and nationally. She is a co-founder and a co-chair for Asian Caucus of American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and a faculty member of the MGH Center for Cross-Cultural Student Emotional Wellness. Dr. Cho also runs her own tele-psychiatry private practice, Cultivate Psychiatry, geared toward serving immigrant families and those with diverse backgrounds, especially Asian Americans.
During her down time, Dr. Cho enjoys living in rural Washington state and navigating the challenges of raising her bicultural young daughter. She is also a co-host of Podcast, Korean American Parenting where she shares her journey - both the joy and the tribulation- of motherhood with other Korean American parents.

Mom Guilt

Wednesday Nov 18, 2020
This week, the ladies of TITT Talks try to solve the omnipresent case of Mom Guilt: Where it comes from, why it happens, and the best way to keep it in moderation so that it doesn’t run our lives. TCha kicks it off with her own experience of how the pandemic has forced her to examine how she prioritizes work/life balance to minimize the guilt she feels on a daily basis.
Join us in this safe space as we talk about what mom guilt means to us and how we tackle it with different forms of self-care and reality checks. Whether you're a working mom, stay-at-home-mom, or not even a mom, taking care of yourself should always be a priority.
